U.S. Bank Stadium may be relatively new but the home of the Minnesota Vikings is already in getting some renovations for the 2019 NFL season.

Fans who make the trip to Minneapolis to watch the Minnesota Vikings during a home game get a magnificent experience thanks to everything U.S. Bank Stadium has to offer. The state of the art facility can fit a lot of people and host a wide variety of events, but those things put some wear on the place.

The good news is that the stadium will be getting some love before the 2019 season arrives. In fact, there are plans for renovations to the field as well as aspects of the facility according to the Star Tribune.

The biggest change for the Vikings will be the replacement of the turf, which has been in place since 2016. After all the events that have taken place on top of the surface, it is in need of being taken out and some fresh turf coming in at a price tag of at least $1 million which will be covered by the building’s capital reserve fund.

The biggest alteration U.S. Bank Stadium will face is the installation of curtains and hardware for the building to host the NCAA men’s basketball Final Four in April, which should bring a nice crowd to Minnesota and showcase the building for other possible events.

Of course, there have already been some amazing events in the facility, including the Super Bowl, monster truck shows, sporting events, massive concerts, and much more, which have made the stadium one of the most attractive in the United States.
