Vikings players don’t do much as NFC falls in the 2019 Pro Bowl

The four members of the Minnesota Vikings weren’t able to prevent the NFC from losing to the AFC on Sunday during the 2019 Pro Bowl in Orlando, Florida.
For the first time since last December, members of the 2018 Minnesota Vikings suited up for an actual football game this weekend.
Adam Thielen, Anthony Barr, Danielle Hunter, and Harrison Smith all represented the Vikings during the 2019 Pro Bowl on Sunday. Despite their efforts, Minnesota’s four players were not able to lead the NFC to a victory over the AFC in this season’s matchup of NFL all-stars.
When the final whistle blew on Sunday, the players left the field with the AFC defeating the NFC by a final score of 26-7.
Hunter had the best performance of the four Vikings participating in this season’s Pro Bowl. The Minnesota defensive end finished with three tackles (one for a loss), one sack, and one quarterback hit.
Smith also pitched in with three tackles of his own and a pass breakup. In possibly his last appearance in a Vikings helmet, Barr ended Sunday with a pair of tackles.
Thielen was only able to finish the afternoon with two catches for 18 yards on three targets, but he did get a chance to throw the ball during a play on Sunday. However, that pass ended up being intercepted and the Minnesota receiver was quickly reminded why his job is to catch footballs on Sundays, not throw them.
This year’s victory was the third in a row for the AFC. The NFC’s seven points on Sunday is also the fewest total scored in a Pro Bowl by the conference since 1989 when they finished with just six.
Of everything that happened, the most important news to come away from Sunday’s result is that none of the four Vikings players who participated in the game suffered any sort of injury.
