1. Look for another free agent

Considering how little the Vikings have to spend in free agency, odds are that Trevor Siemian won’t be an option for Minnesota. While there is a chance the team could bring him back, other teams looking for a backup could feel good about his services and bring him on in a more competitive situation than what the purple and gold can offer.

However, very few of the unrestricted free agents who might be in Minnesota’s price range seem like very attractive options. Here are five of the players who could be available under $3 million:

While some of the players could fill in for a series or two, trusting them to play several games or even finish a season is a scary thought unless the team can seriously improve the offensive line before then.

It would be awesome to see higher-priced options like Teddy Bridgewater, Josh McCown, or Ryan Fitzpatrick come to Minnesota, that likely won’t be an option as Minnesota struggles to bring in and retain top talent.
