What steps must the Minnesota Vikings take in 2019 to finish next season with the franchise’s first ever Super Bowl victory?

Since their players stepped on the field for the very first time in 1961, one thing has continued to allude the Minnesota Vikings. No Vikings team during the history of the franchise has ever finished a season as a Super Bowl champion.

Minnesota has come very close in the past. The Vikings have appeared in four Super Bowls during their existence, but the last time they were in the big game was all the way back in 1977 against the Oakland Raiders.

In the last two decades, Minnesota has ended up on the brink of a Super Bowl berth numerous times. The Vikings have appeared in four NFC Championships since 1998, but they failed to come away with a win in each of these contests.

Prior to the 2018 season, Minnesota was one of the top favorites to win the Super Bowl. This likely won’t be the case for next year, but the Vikings still have the tools to come away with a championship.

Heading into the offseason, what must Minnesota do this year to give their team the best chance to win the franchise’s first ever Super Bowl in 2019?
