Robbie Gould

2018 Stats:

  • 33/34 FGs (97.1 percent)
  • 27/29 XPs (93.1 percent)

It would be beyond glorious if the Vikings could somehow convince Gould to sign with them this offseason. He has been kicking the ball very well ever since the Chicago Bears decided to release him in 2016.

Since then, all Gould has done is make 96.5 percent of his field goal attempts as a member of both the New York Giants and San Francisco 49ers. His field goal percentage last season was the highest of any kicker in the NFL.

Given his impressive production in 2018 though, Gould will likely be a highly sought after kicker this offseason. So much so that his price tag could end up being too high for Minnesota to sign him.

If Gould doesn’t end up with the Vikings, there’s a decent chance that he could make a return to the Bears. Chicago is in need of a kicker upgrade after Cody Parkey’s last-second missed field goal sent them home in the first round of the 2018 playoffs.

So it’s possible that Gould could be a member of a team that plays in the NFC North once again next season. Whether or not that team ends up being Minnesota is something that remains to be seen.
