2. Donnie Jones

Known as “Donnie Longball” or “Thunderfoot” for his ability to get some great distance on his punts, Donnie Jones would be another inexpensive option as an unrestricted free agent for the Vikings in 2019.

Ironically enough, Jones was 32nd among NFL punters in 2018 with an average of 42.3 and 31st in net punting yards with 38.0 per try, making his return from retirement one that he would most likely enjoy forgetting.

In addition, Jones will be turning 39 this season and may make the decision to hang up his cleats once again. However, there may also be a competitive spirit in him that draws him back to the NFL for at least one more season and join his seventh franchise.

The positives are that he only had three touchbacks on the year and landed 31.92 percent of his punts inside the 20. He also owns three franchise record for punting during his time with the Philadelphia Eagles. However, this is the most unlikely option on the list based on his age and production entering the 2019 season.
