5 free-agents the Minnesota Vikings should avoid in 2019
By Adam Patrick
Kevin White – WR
With Laquon Treadwell not providing them with a ton of production, the Vikings will likely be on the hunt for a new third receiver this offseason to compliment Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs.
White is a name that Minnesota fans should be familiar with since he has spent the last four years in the NFC North as a member of the Chicago Bears. Despite being selected with the seventh overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, he’s actually been a bigger bust than Treadwell.
Due to numerous injuries, White has only hauled in a total of 25 passes for 285 yards and no touchdowns in 14 games.
Thanks to his lack of production, the 26-year-old receiver likely won’t be too expensive for a team to sign this offseason. White may be intriguing prospect for some franchises this year, but the Vikings should not be one of these teams.
Despite how much of a bargain he may be, his injury history is just too much of a risk for Minnesota to take a chance on.
The Vikings need to find a third receiver that can actually stay on the field and put up semi-decent numbers. Two things that White has not yet proven he can do during his time in the NFL.
