Aldrick Robinson – WR

The Vikings have two of the best wide receivers in the game today in Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen. Minnesota used a first round pick in 2016 on Laquon Treadwell and he just hasn’t been able to consistently produce in the NFL.

After Treadwell’s drop-filled game in Week 2 against the Green Bay Packers, the Vikings went out and signed free-agent wide receiver Aldrick Robinson off the street.

Robinson is a short, speedy guy who had played with Kirk Cousins when both were members of the Washington Redskins. He made his first reception for Minnesota in that Week 3 debacle against the Buffalo Bills, but then he broke out the next week during the Vikings’ loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

Robinson was the modern day version of Cris Carter in 2018 as all he did was catch touchdowns for Minnesota. He only caught only 17 balls all season, but five of those went for scores. He finished with 231 receiving yards during 14 games last year.

With those numbers, Robinson isn’t going to find a hot market for his services this offseason. There’s a good chance that the Vikings would be able to sign him to another short-term deal for moderate pay.

It’s clear Robinson has a connection with Cousins and re-signing him would at least give Minnesota a No. 3-caliber receiver that they can rely on for next season.
