Round 1: Cody Ford, Offensive line – Oklahoma

Personally, I’m not buying the hype that Riley Reiff might be moving to guard for the 2019 season. His performance last year coupled with his massive salary makes it illogical to move unless they draft a spectacular talent at left tackle or don’t trust standout Brian O’Neill, who didn’t give up a single sack in 2018.

One great thing is how there are so many teams in need of quarterbacks, pass rushers, and defensive tackles at the top of the draft that one of the top 3 offensive linemen should fall to Minnesota at number 18 in the first round.

Cody Ford looks like he could be the third offensive lineman selected in the first round. Jonah Williams and Jawaan Taylor are the other players who could be on the board when Minnesota picks, but it should be one of those three.

The Vikings could do much worse than the six-foot-four and 338-pound lineman, especially since they will be plugging him into the guard spot. He was a third-team All American in 2018 and was a key part of a unit which earned the Joe Moore Award.
