The biggest weakness for the Minnesota Vikings in 2018 may have been the play of their offensive guards. Is there a name worth signing on the free-agent market this year?

The Minnesota Vikings need help along the offensive line. That’s the mantra that many across the Vikings fan base have uttered since the 2018 season ended.

With limited cap funds currently and a roster without much in-house talent in the trenches, improving the line figures to be a tall task for Minnesota general manager Rick Spielman this year.

In a previous installment of this series, we took a look at which free-agent offensive tackles the Vikings could pursue this offseason. However, the argument can be made that Minnesota has a bigger need on the interior of their offensive line with incumbent starters Tom Compton and Mike Remmers unlikely to return in 2019.

Even with a deep draft class this year, the Vikings will do their due diligence on the available free-agent guards this offseason and if they can land a starter, it might cross another item of the team’s long list of needs in 2019.

Of those who are expected to be available in free agency this year, who are five offensive guards that Minnesota should consider signing?.
