Minnesota Vikings Draft 2019: Four-round mock draft – 2.0
By Matt Falk
First Round
Greg Little – OT (Ole Miss)
The Vikings will be looking for upgrades along the entire offensive line this year. Nothing is off limits for this group when it comes to the offseason.
Greg Little has the talent to be the best offensive tackle in the entire 2019 draft class. Nobody questions his physical ability, but he is also one of the most raw lineman in the draft.
He will need some time for some fine tuning when it comes to his technique and he will also need to up his game when it comes to giving 100 percent on every play.
The Ole Miss prospect is a boom or bust type of guy, that will either make an NFL general manager look like a fool or a genius in the coming years. That said, with Little’s strength, size, and athletic ability, he is worth the risk at pick No. 18 for Minnesota.
If he can pull it all together and manage to prove that he can give it 100 percent on every play, he can be a franchise tackle in the NFL for years to come.
The big issue in drafting an offensive tackle in the first round for the Vikings is what they’ll do with Riley Reiff. Minnesota has thrown out the idea of possibly moving him inside to left guard, and if they take a tackle in the first round this year, a position switch for Reiff could come to fruition.
