There have been some amazing wide receivers duos who have suited up for the Minnesota Vikings in franchise history but which duo is the best of all time?
The Minnesota Vikings arguably have the best wide receiver tandem in the NFL with Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen lining up wide. Before the 2017 season, when Thielen amassed 1,276 yards, the Vikings had a seven-year dry spell within their receiving corps. No one had reached the 1,000-yard plateau since 2009 when Sidney Rice had 1,312 yards. With both Diggs and Thielen putting together 1,000-yard seasons, it is the first time since 2000 that the Vikings had two receivers do that.
Over the history of the franchise, the Vikings have had some truly explosive wide receiver tandems. No doubt, even the most casual Vikings fan can readily name the franchise leaders.
Here’s a look at the top eight duos ever to play for the Vikings. This ranking used the season average over the time these duos played together. A priority is given to scoring touchdowns followed by yards gained and then the number of catches. It does not include any other contributions for play on special teams or rushing yards. I only included wide receivers in this ranking. It does slight some awesome tight ends, but that allows for another ranking at another time.
