Oakland Raiders

Everyone laughed at the Raiders’ expense last season when they traded away Amari Cooper and Khalil Mack. But thanks to those deals, Oakland is entering the 2019 NFL Draft with three first-round picks.

Due to their multiple selections in the first round, the Raiders may be willing to part ways with their second or third-round pick this year if it means they will acquire a player like Trae Waynes in return.

Oakland’s pass defense in 2018 was abysmal, so improving this area of their team will definitely be a top priority for them this offseason. Trading for a young corner like Waynes might be something they could do to improve their pass defense.

It should also be noted that the current Vikings defensive back was the highest ranked corner in the 2015 draft class according to Mike Mayock. This seems a little important since Mayock is now the general manager for the Raiders.

Thanks to Oakland being so bad last year, their 2019 draft selections a mostly near the top of each round. Based on this, the Raiders should be near the top of the list of teams that Minnesota contacts about a trade for Waynes.
