Lil’Jordan Humphrey – WR (Texas)

Lil’Jordan needed a big performance at the 2019 combine and he didn’t get it. Humphrey had one of the worst 40 times amongst all the receivers in Indianapolis, running it in a Rich Eisen-esque 4.75 seconds.

He didn’t wow in any other physical drills either, which puts his entire training process in question.  It comes down to two things. Either Humphrey is a terrible athlete or he just doesn’t train or prepare well.

This was the biggest job interview of his life and he just went out and laid a turd.

Humphrey still has things going for him though. He’s got good size at 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds.  He was extremely productive last year at Texas, catching 86 balls for nine touchdowns and nearly 1,200 yards.

So he can obviously play the position and he’ll have a chance to improve upon all of his numbers at his Pro Day on March 27th.

The Vikings will probably be looking for a third wide receiver option during this draft and a pass catcher with good size like Humphrey is something they currently lack.  At this point, it would be a mild surprise if Minnesota used a selection higher than one from the sixth round on him.

Of course, a good Pro Day will make a lot of people forget Humprhey’s poor  performance at the combine and it will allow his stock to go back up before the draft.
