NFL.com recently released their list of the top 101 free agents of 2019 and two of those individuals could possibly be moving on from the Minnesota Vikings.

This is a big year for the Minnesota Vikings. While they are looking to return to being a contender during the 2019 NFL season, they are facing some tough decisions when it comes to which of their expiring contracts to extend and which players to allow to hit free agency.

As it stands, Minnesota does have some big names which will become available when free agency begins at 3 pm CT on Mar. 13. To give fans some idea of which top players are scheduled to be available when it starts, NFL.com compiled a list of the Top 101 NFL free agents of 2019.

Interestingly enough, two members of the Vikings were included in the list’s top 10. Here are the individuals and what Gregg Rosenthal and Chris Wesseling had to say about them:

6. Anthony Barr, linebacker

"“A four-time Pro Bowl selection in five NFL seasons, Barr is an excellent blitzer and one of the most well-rounded off-ball linebackers. His appeal will likely be limited to teams with a base 4-3 scheme.”"

9. Sheldon Richardson, defensive tackle

"“Rent-a-hulk. In large part due to character concerns, Richardson has been unable to land a long-term deal the past two offseasons. His value should be on the rise after a bounce-back year in Minnesota.”"

With the salary cap the way it is for the Vikings, it’s hard to see the team being able to bring either of these players back without making other moves to their roster. Both could be impact players on their new teams’ defense if they end up signing elsewhere.

Minnesota has already reportedly extended punter Matt Wile and fullback C.J. Ham and more players from the team could get deals done before free agency begins, but hopes of Barr or Richardson returning to the team should be tempered.

As for the top players on the list, Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell leads the way with Seahawks safety Earl Thomas in second and Patriots defensive lineman Trey Flowers in third.
