This could be a far-fetched scenario, but one that may be a good one for the Minnesota Vikings. Adding the powerful Ingram to the elusive Cook could not only give the Minnesota backfield a lethal 1-2 punch, but also pluck one of their rivals most dangerous weapons from their roster.

The common perception is that New Orleans Saints head coach has moth-balled Ingram for a majority of his career. Almost seemingly in a timeshare from the moment he drafted, the Alabama product finally broke through in 2016 and 2017 recording his first two 1,000 yard rushing seasons and adding power to Alvin Kamara‘s elusiveness.

With Cook’s inability to stay on the field in his first two seasons in the league, Ingram could be a nice compliment and insurance policy if Cook goes down. Once again, the issue could be cost and the Saints’ willingness to keep Ingram in the fold. If New Orleans decides to move on from the 29-year old, it might be worth kicking the tires.
