Sheldon Richardson – DT

Richardson was a surprise signing by the Minnesota Vikings a season ago. He came to Minnesota looking for a title, so he agreed to a one year deal. Richardson will not be doing that again. This guy is 28-years-old and this is his last chance to get a big payday.

He has stated that he’d like to return to the Vikings as he loves playing in this defense, but as of now the Vikings just don’t have the cap room to bring him back.

A lot of teams will be interested in Richardson. He’s a penetrating and disruptive force playing the 3-technique in a 4-3 front. Richardson has had a great career posting 335 career tackles and 23.5 sacks. He causes a lot of ruckus to opposing offenses, and can’t be stopped with just one man blocking him.

There are teams that are picking early in the 2019 NFL Draft that have a defensive tackle as one of their needs. The 49ers, Raiders, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are all teams who could use Richardson in the middle of their defense. These teams all have a lot of needs and signing this guy in free agency would open the door for them to look at other options in the draft.

As said earlier, Richardson will be looking for a big pay day and he should go wherever the money is. He deserves to get paid, and he will… by the Raiders

Prediction: Oakland Raiders
