Vikings losing Latavius Murray, Tay Train expected to sign with Saints

After two years with the Minnesota Vikings, running back Latavius Murray will reportedly sign a multi-year deal with the New Orleans Saints in free agency.
For the last two years, Latavius Murray has been part of a valuable 1-2 punch at running back when paired with Dalvin Cook. But now, the powerful runner is reportedly moving on from the Minnesota Vikings and signing with a different team.
It is being reported by highly trusted ESPN Insider Adam Schefter that Murray and the New Orleans Saints have agreed to terms on a four-year deal where he will join Alvin Kamara in their backfield.
Here is the post from Adam Schefter on Twitter announcing the news:
Many Vikings fans were hoping Latavius Murray would stay with Minnesota and continue to be a great veteran complement to Dalvin Cook, especially since Cook has missed 17 games in his first two seasons with the team.
During his two years with Minnesota, Murray played in all 32 regular season games where he gained 1,420 yards on the ground and ran for 14 touchdowns while adding 244 yards through the air.
Stating he was looking for a starting job somewhere in the NFL, it is a bit surprising to see Murray go to the Saints where he will be in what should be a lopsided timeshare with Alvin Kamara instead of pushing for a featured gig.
The Saints are said to be paying him $14.4 million over the course of his four-year deal.
Murray will always be remembered for being a professional player and a tough runner who performed well when his number was called. The Viking Age would like to thank him for his time with the Minnesota Vikings and wish him nothing but the best in all of his future endeavors in the NFL.
