The 2019 NFL Scouting Combine is over and free agency is here. However, the Minnesota Vikings still need to get their picks in the 2019 NFL Draft right.
Since the last seven-round mock draft, the Minnesota Vikings have reportedly come to terms with punter Matt Wile and fullback C.J. Ham, filling two needs the team would have had heading into the 2019 NFL Draft or free agency. They also have reported locked down Shamar Stephen and moved on from Anthony Barr while putting tenders on Rashod Hill and Anthony Harris.
Another big change is that the two compensatory picks the team was projected to receive fame to fruition. The team now holds two picks in each the sixth and seventh rounds, bringing Minnesota to a total of eight picks in the draft.
Since the Vikings ended the season with an 8-7-1 record, they will hold the 18th pick in the 2019 NFL Draft which begins Thursday, April 25 and lasts three days and will conclude on Saturday, April 27.
Here are the selections the team will be expected to have (note: original team picks are in bold). Of course, these picks are subject to change before the draft if Minnesota makes any trades involving draft selections:
- Round 1
- Round 2
- Round 3
- Round 4
- Round 6
- Round 6 (Compensatory for Teddy Bridgewater)
- Round 7 (Compensatory for Tramaine Brock)
- Round 7 (Compensatory for Shamar Stephen)
Here are the picks the Vikings no longer have the rights to since they were traded away:
- Round 5: Traded to Broncos for Trevor Siemian
- Round 7: Traded to Giants for Brett Jones
For the purpose of this seven-round mock draft, the big boards from CBS Sports and DraftTek are be used for estimation in determining which players may be available when the Minnesota Vikings are on the clock.
