The first couple of rounds of the NFL Draft get all of the attention, but the Minnesota Vikings can find great players in the later rounds this year.

The Minnesota Vikings are a team that has been largely built through the NFL Draft. Nearly half of their current roster is made up of players they selected in the draft. Many of these players were taken on the last day of the draft in the final four rounds.

Though they don’t get the attention or the glamour of the prospects chosen on the first couple nights, these picks are still very important. A lot of key special teams contributors, backups, starters, and occasional superstars, can be found in the draft after all the “sexy” picks are made.

The Vikings currently don’t have a lot of cap room and they can’t fill all of their holes with their first three draft selections. So this is one year in which Minnesota will especially need to nail some of their later-round choices.

Let’s take a look at a guard, a wide receiver, and an edge rusher who could all be guys the Vikings consider on Day 3 of the 2019 NFL Draft.
