The Minnesota Vikings don’t have a lot of salary cap left so they may need to go shopping for some budget-priced free agents to fill some team needs.
Looking at the roster for the Minnesota Vikings, it is clear they still have some work to do in order to prepare for the 2019 NFL season. Many of these needs will be addressed in the draft while some others can be filled in free agency.
Sadly, the Vikings salary cap isn’t looking too great right now. Despite some wizardry from the front office on contracts for Everson Griffen and Anthony Barr, Spotrac has the Vikings only having $6,848,111 available to spend…and after the rookie draft pool, that drops to approximately $4,373,111.
That means the team will have to be smart as to how they spend the rest of their salary cap, but will also be looking into bringing in more players to compete. However, they will need to dive into the budget-priced individuals if they want to sign anyone.
Let’s take a look at five free-agent fits for the Minnesota Vikings in free agency who could sign for $3M or less yet make a strong impact on the team during the 2019 NFL season.
