4. Robert Griffin III, quarterback

First, let’s take a moment to be happy that Trevor Siemian never had to start a game for the Vikings during the 2018 NFL season. However, now that he has moved on, the team must address the backup quarterback spot.

Fans are clamoring for Kyle Sloter to take that spot, but Minnesota likely wants someone a bit more experienced and possibly someone with a tie to the team. That would make Robert Griffin III a solid choice.

Griffin pushed fellow quarterback Kirk Cousins with the Redskins back in the day and it would be fun to see a reunion between the two passers in purple and gold. This time, Griffin will be the clear backup though, and Cousins taking the helm.

Last year, RG3 only had a salary cap hit of $1.1M with the Ravens, which is a small price to pay for a veteran with some experience and success in the league. Although he hasn’t played meaningful football in a while, he’d still have to be better than what Siemian brought to the table.
