3. Matt Blair, linebacker

Considered to be one of the all-time greatest players ever for the Minnesota Vikings, Matt Blair is hard to judge by the statistics since tackles weren’t a commonly recorded statistic during his 12 seasons with the team.

A second-round pick in 1974, Blair grabbed earned the starting job in his third year by filling in for the team when needed. He went on to start a whopping 130 games for the Vikings, playing in 160 contests in his career.

Blair was named to the Pro Bowl six times and was an All-Pro First Team once, which makes sense for a player who recovered 20 fumbles and had 16 interceptions in his career, scoring one defensive touchdown.

A member of the Minnesota Vikings Ring of Honor as well as one of the 50 Greatest Vikings, Blair has established his place among the best players ever to suit up for the team and left a legacy on the linebacker position.
