10. Toby Gerhart (2010–2013)

  • 4 seasons
  • 8 touchdowns
  • 1,305 yards
  • 4.7 yards/att

Tobin Bo Gunnar Gerhart was selected in the second round in the 2010 draft from Stanford. Gerhart finished second in the Heisman Trophy voting his senior year in 2009. Unfortunately for him, he found himself backing up the Vikings franchise leader in rushing, Adrian Peterson. Starting 14 of 82 games, Gerhart’s best season was 2011 rushing for 531 yards and starting five games. After four seasons in Minnesota, he signed with Jacksonville where he played for only another two seasons. He is 24th on the Vikings all-time career rushing list.

9. Oscar Reed (1968–1974)

  • 7 seasons

Oscar Reed spent seven seasons in Minnesota. A seventh-round draft pick out of Colorado State in 1968, Reed started his career backing up Bill Brown and finished it behind Chuck Foreman. His best season came in 1972 when he started all 14 games sharing the backfield with Brown, Dave Osborn, and Ed Marinaro and leading the Vikings with 639 yards.
