Jordan Ta’amu (Ole Miss)

Measurements:

Height: 6-foot-2 | Weight: 212 pounds

2018 Stats:

  • 3,918 yards, 63.6 percent completion rate
  • 19 touchdowns, 8 interceptions

Ta’amu was blessed with having two of the draft’s top receiver prospects (A.J. Brown, D.K. Metcalf) and a rising tight end prospect (Dawson Knox) at his disposal. But his senior year numbers at Ole Miss are a little underwhelming at first glance.

Digging a little deeper, Ta’amu was solid for the Rebels as he used his mobility to extend plays and get yards on the ground to the tune of 342 yards and six touchdowns. He also displayed a great arm while anticipating his receivers to get open and he showed good poise under pressure.

Ta’amu’s downfall occurred with his decision making once trying to evade defenders. Too often, he would look for the big play rather than taking a checkdown, resulting in poor decisions and shooting his own team in the foot.

Ta’amu will be a project, but with a fifth-round draft projection, the physical tools could pique the interest of the Vikings.
