Wilson’s draft process hasn’t gone too well, but that may mean he falls and creates value for a Vikings team that could be looking for depth. Wilson began the year as a top linebacker prospect after mixing in on third downs and coverage situations as a junior, but his senior season left something to be desired.

While he has the ability to get to the outside edges for most backs, some of his quickness isn’t as elite as some of the other prospects in the class. In addition, he seemed to struggle on the mental aspect of the game waiting for the play to come to him rather than maintaining his aggressiveness and attacking it.

Wilson could have been a first-round pick had he been eligible to come out last season, but with little workout info to go off of, his selection could be a huge risk. If the price is right, the Minnesota Vikings could take that chance and see if they can develop Wilson into another key piece for their defense.
