5 linebackers the Vikings could select in the 2019 NFL Draft
By Chris Schad
Vosean Joseph (Florida)
Measurables:
Height: 6-foot | Weight: 227 pounds
2018 Stats:
- 93 total tackles (40 solo)
- 5 pass breakups, 4 sacks
Another potential weak side linebacker could come in the form of Joseph, who was admirable for Florida last season. Like many of the prospects listed, Joseph plays with a great motor that can make plays from sideline to sideline.
The issue with Joseph are some of the little things mentally. He tends to be too slow on some plays and combined with his issues tackling, he still has a ways to go to become a true blue-chip prospect.
For where the Minnesota Vikings will be searching for a linebacker, Joseph could make sense toward the back half of the draft as they look to fill out their roster. While it wouldn’t be a pick that would create tremors, it could be another solid pick to add competition through training camp.
