Third Round

Riley Ridley – WR (Georgia)

The Vikings have one of the best duos of wide receivers in the entire NFL with Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen. But when you look at the rest of Minnesota’s current wide receiving corps, it gets thin extremely quick.

Vikings fans are well aware of what Laquon Treadwell brings to the table and behind him they have a few young and unproven guys in Chad Beebe and Brandon Zylstra. Which makes wide receiver in the early rounds a real possibility for Minnesota this year.

While Riley Ridley’s college stats won’t get anyone too excited, there is plenty about his game that should. The former Georgia receiver has sure hands, plays tough, and has possession receiver written all over him. He can move the chains and he fights for extra yards and first downs.

The younger brother of the Atlanta Falcons’ first-round selection last year, Calvin Ridley, would most likely slide right into the No. 3 receiver spot for the Vikings in 2019. He would have the chance to learn from a few of the best in the league and with some time, he could be looked at as a real first or second option in the NFL.

Ridley’s stock has jumped in the past month, but him being available when it comes time for Minnesota’s selection in round three is very realistic.
