Part of the fun of the NFL Draft isn’t just watching your favorite team pick players, but seeing which prospects are chosen by division rivals. Here are some 2019 prospects the Minnesota Vikings should hope don’t end up in the NFC North.

The NFL Draft is just around the corner and teams are starting to really hone in on who they could be taking in the first round.

As fans, part of the fun of the draft each is not just seeing who the Minnesota Vikings take, but also seeing which players end up in the NFC North. It’s always tough when an extremely talented prospect ends up on a rival’s team and the Vikings have to face that guy twice a season for at least the next five years.

A prime example of this is when the Detroit Lions landed Calvin Johnson back in 2007. Those who root for Minnesota could appreciate Johnson’s talent coming out of college, while also hoping that he ended up far away from the NFC North. But instead, the purple had to face that beast time and time again each season.

Looking at this year’s crop of players in the draft class, there are plenty of talented prospects who could develop into dominating, game-changing performers.

Of these prospects, which five are the ones that the Vikings should hope and pray don’t end up in their division for 2019.
