Dalton Risner – OL (Kansas State)

This guy isn’t on here so much for his play on the field, though there is nothing wrong with that.  He’s an aggressive blocker who not only hits his first man, but he also gets down the field and rams into any opposing player he can find. He’s got a reckless, aggressive style that makes watching him as an offensive lineman very fun.

The reason Risner is on this list is that he is just an awesome all around awesome dude and it would really suck if such a likable player ended up in Detroit or Green Bay.

Risner is an outgoing, well-spoken guy. He radiates with positive energy and he is an engaging player whose teammates will gravitate to and look to for leadership.

He started his own foundation, the RisnerUp Foundation, which is all about being positive and staying strong against all the negatives in the world.

He eventually wants to start camps for children with cancer and special needs and give motivational speeches across the country. For a guy in college to have this kind of foresight and desire to help others is almost unheard of today.

Risner is definitely a guy the Vikings could use. He can play any position on the offensive line and he will be a fan favorite who is sure to give colorful, open, and honest interviews before and after games. Many Minnesota fans already love this guy and it would be gut-wrenching to see him end up with a division rival like the Lions or the Packers.

If Risner doesn’t get drafted by the Vikings, then hopefully he ends up somewhere outside of the NFC North. This way, Minnesota doesn’t have to mourn the one who got away twice a season.
