Of all the teams the Minnesota Vikings are set to face during the 2019 regular season, which presents the toughest matchup for the purple and gold?

There is still a long period of time before the Minnesota Vikings take the field to kick off their 2019 season. It’s so distant that the Vikings don’t even know who they will be facing in Week 1.

However, Minnesota does know all of the opponents they will be taking on in 2019 and where they will be playing them. These are determined at the end of each regular season, so the Vikings have known what teams will be showing up on their schedule since their last game back in December.

Minnesota’s slate for 2019 will include the following opponents.

Home:

  • Atlanta Falcons
  • Chicago Bears
  • Denver Broncos
  • Detroit Lions
  • Green Bay Packers
  • Oakland Raiders
  • Philadelphia Eagles
  • Washington Redskins

Away:

  • Chicago Bears
  • Dallas Cowboys
  • Detroit Lions
  • Green Bay Packers
  • Kansas City Chiefs
  • Los Angeles Chargers
  • New York Giants
  • Seattle Seahawks

Of the games the Vikings will play next season, seven of them will come against teams that qualified for the playoffs in 2018. Last year, only four of Minnesota’s opponents appeared in the 2017 postseason.

So it appears that the Vikings’ schedule in 2019 will be a bit tougher than last year’s. However, every season seems to play out differently and Minnesota may end up having one of the easier schedules around the NFL.

When looking at all of the teams the Vikings will have to face in 2019 though, which four seem like they will be the toughest to beat?
