2. Chicago Bears

2018 Record: 12-4

Was last season a fluke for the Bears? Did they catch lightning in a bottle or is the level of success Chicago achieved in 2018 something that they can continue to have for the next few years?

Time will tell but it appears that Bears head coach Matt Nagy at least has this franchise headed in the right direction. Any coach that can get Mitchell Trubisky an invite to the Pro Bowl deserves at least a little bit of praise.

The Vikings not only have to worry about Nagy’s creative play-calling on the offensive side of the ball, they also have to try and prevent Chicago pass rusher Khalil Mack from ripping Kirk Cousins’ head off. Add in the fact that the Bears are a divisional opponent and each of Minnesota’s two matchups against Chicago are bound to be two of their toughest in 2019.

Of the two times they will face the Bears next season, the Vikings game in Chicago will likely be much more difficult. Minnesota has found some success in the Windy City under Mike Zimmer. But a road showdown against the Bears always seems to be one of the Vikings’ toughest games every year regardless of each team’s record.
