Heading into the 2019 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings have used a grand total of 47 draft picks on college prospects during the third round since their franchise started with a mixed bag of results.

Some of those players didn’t amount to much while some had decent careers and others made a great impact on the franchise. Considering the draft is a gamble in the first place, it’s always a pleasant surprise when these picks pan out.

However, there have been some great players who had their name called in Round 3 of the NFL Draft and went on to do fantastic things for the franchise, but who are the best of the best when it comes to that group?

Let’s break down the ten best third-round draft picks in Minnesota Vikings history!

Please note: This list includes draft selections going all the way back to the team’s inception. That means picks made before the AFL/NFL merger will be included.
