Week 11

Denver Broncos (Home)

  • Date: Sunday, November 17
  • Time: 1 p.m. EST
  • TV: CBS

After two straight weeks of being on the road, the Vikings finally return home in Week 11 to take on the Broncos in an early afternoon matchup. This should be a game that Minnesota wins, but Denver has the talent to sneak out of the building with a victory too.

The Broncos will be in the middle of their first season under new head coach Vic Fangio when it comes time for their matchup with the Vikings. Denver has the potential to turn things around in 2019, but having Joe Flacco as their starting quarterback may be what ultimately holds them back.

Minnesota came away with a win and five sacks in their last meeting with Flacco in 2017. With the home crowd behind them for this contest, expect a similar result for the Vikings in this year’s matchup against the Broncos and the veteran quarterback.

Prediction: Vikings win (9-2)

Week 13

Seattle Seahawks (Away)

  • Date: Monday, December 2
  • Time: 8:15 p.m. EST
  • TV: ESPN

Last season, Minnesota had plenty of opportunities to come away with a road win over the Seahawks. The Vikings only trailed by six points early in the fourth quarter last year in Seattle. But Minnesota just couldn’t figure out how to generate any sort of production on offense that night and it resulted in them suffering a loss.

This season, the Vikings are heading out on the road to take on the Seahawks again and this time they’re bringing a bunch of offensive assistants that actually know what they’re doing.

Even with their upgraded offensive coaching staff, it will still be very difficult for Minnesota to go into Seattle and come away with a victory. Especially since the game is taking place on a Monday night.

The Seahawks have just one loss in their last 10 Monday night matchups at home. To get a win, the Vikings might need to play almost perfect and that may just be too much to ask.

Prediction: Vikings lose (9-3)
