Marquise Blair – S (Utah)

Blair is primarily known for one thing and that thing is bone-crunching, flag-inducing hits. This guy isn’t afraid to throw his body around and make defenders remember his number.

He is ultra-aggressive and he loves to knock the snot out of opposing ball carriers and receivers. The problem as alluded to above is that he often gets flagged for these hits and costs his team valuable yardage.

In addition to being a big hitter, Blair is very good in coverage. His technique is solid and he can stick with his man stride for stride. His 6-foot-1 frame can match up well with the big NFL tight ends that he’ll see come over the middle or down the seam.

The Vikings only have four safeties on the roster as it stands now. One of those is a former member of the defunct AAF who is a longshot to make the team. Minnesota could possibly use a third-round pick on this huge hitter from Utah.

As long as he can start tackling more legally, he would be the favorite to be the Vikings’ fourth safety, and a likely replacement for Jayron Kearse if the team doesn’t bring him back when he hits free agency next season.
