The Keenum Bowl highlights five primetime games

For the second consecutive year, the Vikings will be featured in five primetime games in the 2019 season. The first will be a big one for some as they’ll host the Keenum Bowl against the Washington Redskins in a Thursday night game on Oct. 24. Of course, that will mean the first game for Case Keenum at U.S. Bank Stadium since the Minneapolis Miracle in January of 2018.

Also slated for prime time is a Week 10 trip to Dallas, a Week 13 matchup at Seattle, a Week 15 matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers and a Week 16 matchup against the Green Bay Packers.

While it’s nice to see the Vikings gain recognition with a national audience, the looming issue is Kirk Cousins’ 5-13 career record in primetime games including an 0-7 mark on Monday Night Football. If anything, this year’s schedule will be a great chance for Cousins to exorcize those demons.
