Who are some of the sleepers and draft gems that the Minnesota Vikings could find in the later rounds of the 2019 NFL Draft?

By now you know all the big names that have been associated with the Minnesota Vikings in the early rounds of the upcoming NFL Draft. But where the draft is won, is during the mid to late rounds. That is where teams really find the value picks and the guys that can help make or break their franchise.

Over the past few years, we have watched as the Vikings have found some solid late-rounders including guys like Stephen Weatherly and Jayron Kearse in 2016 along with Shamar Stephen in 2014.

Luckily for Minnesota, the 2019 NFL Draft is loaded with guys in the mid to late rounds that can not only make an NFL squad, but can actually make a difference. As you can see below, the Vikings will have plenty of chances to find this year’s sleeper with two sixth-round selections and two seventh-round selections.

  • Round 1 – 18th overall
  • Round 2 – 50th overall
  • Round 3 – 81st overall
  • Round 4 – 114th overall
  • Round 6 – 178th overall
  • Round 6 (Compensatory) – 209th overall
  • Round 7 (Compensatory) – 247th overall
  • Round 7 (Compensatory) – 250th overall

So as the draft gets into the sixth and seventh round this, be sure to stick through until the end, as Minnesota will look to go bargain shopping.
