Stanley Morgan – WR (Nebraska)

The Vikings are lucky enough to have two of the best receivers in the game. Unfortunately, the depth behind Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen is below average at best. With guys like Laquon Treadwell, Chad Beebe, and Brandon Zylstra, the receiving corps could use a little help.

Realistically, Minnesota could be looking at a receiver as early as round two this year. But if they decide to hold off at the position, the 2019 draft pool does have some intriguing options in the mid to late rounds.

One of those guys is Nebraska’s Stanley Morgan. Morgan has possession receiver written all over him.

What really makes Morgan stand out when you watch him is his crisp routes. He is extremely ahead of the game when it comes to running clean routes, which helps him see quite a few balls thrown his way.

He has decent speed and good, not great hands. Morgan will likely be a guy that could have a pretty high ceiling. He needs to play a little tougher at times and continue working on his hands, but he has the ability to be a contributor as a rookie.

With the Vikings, Morgan would step in on day one as the team’s fourth receiver who could possibly manage to win the No. 3 spot during training camp this summer.

Putting Morgan in the slot would give him a huge opportunity to be an important part of an explosive offense as a rookie. He could help Minnesota move the chains and give them a solid option as their third receiver. Something they have lacked since the Jarius Wright days.
