4. The starting offensive tackles

Heading into the draft, there was a lot of speculation about the offensive line. With two starting guards leaving and rumblings of moving Riley Reiff from the left tackle position to the interior, there were seemingly a ton of options as to what the team could do.

Of course, the Minnesota Vikings ended up using their first-round draft pick on center Garrett Bradbury, which came as a surprise to some fans who were expecting an offensive tackle or guard with the pick.

What this means is that the team is happy with their current offensive tackles. Riley Reiff was the team’s best offensive lineman last year despite allowing too many hurries, but the real gem here is that Brian O’Neill seems to be getting his name in ink as the team’s right tackle.

This also puts Rashod Hill as the Vikings primary backup or swing tackle, meaning those returning linemen will all have places on the roster and return to the same role they had when the season ended last year, proving a familiar bookend of blockers for the team.
