Things may be looking very good for the team, but here are 10 predictions to help temper fan expectations for the Minnesota Vikings during the 2019 NFL season.

For fans of the Minnesota Vikings, the past couple of seasons have been quite the roller-coaster ride. The door between reality and expectations swung widely in both directions in the last two seasons.

In 2017, when quarterback Sam Bradford opened the season with a dominant, three-touchdown performance against the New Orleans Saints, it seemed everything was in place for a great year. Then there was the mysterious injury that kept him out of the lineup for a month and eventually ended his season.

When Case Keenum, a journeyman backup, stepped in the expectations for the season took a precipitous drop.  But when the Vikings rattled off eight-straight wins and finished with the second-best regular season record; expectations were far exceeded and euphoria set in.

Following another NFC Championship appearance, and loss, along with the signing of Kirk Cousins, expectations for the 2018 season soared sky high. Unfortunately this time the results were nowhere near as good and plenty of Vikings fans suffered a lot of frustration.

The time is perfect to try and level set the expectations of the 2019 season. Consider this a public service announcement to help with expectations for the upcoming season and to reduce any level of frustration encountered.

In no particular order, here are 10 predictions for the Minnesota Vikings in 2019.
