Trevon Diggs – CB (Alabama)

Measurements:

  • Height: 6-foot-2 | Weight: 200 pounds

2018 Stats:

  • 20 tackles, 6 pass breakups
  • 1 interception, 1 forced fumble

Diggs only appeared in six games for Alabama last season thanks to a foot injury. The way he was playing during the beginning of the year though, he likely would have declared for the 2019 NFL Draft if he didn’t suffer his injury.

He spent his freshman season at Alabama as a wide receiver, but he has been playing on the defensive side of the ball for the past two years. Diggs has the size and talent to potently be a No. 1 corner for an NFL team one day.

Why Diggs could end up on the Vikings:

If Diggs’ last name sounds familiar, it’s because it is. Trevon is the younger brother of current Minnesota wide receiver Stefon Diggs. There seems to be a good chance that the younger Diggs could end up with the Vikings with his brother in 2020.

Minnesota could possibly lose both Trae Waynes and Mackensie Alexander to free agency after this season and they may also want to draft someone to groom into their No. 1 spot as Xavier Rhodes’ eventual replacement. Based on these factors, the Vikings may consider adding another Diggs to their roster in 2020.
