The former Minnesota Vikings star running back was recently part of the 2019 class that was inducted into the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame.

There seems to be a very good chance that former Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson will one day be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Peterson currently has the eighth-most career rushing yards and the fifth-most career rushing touchdowns in the NFL history. The majority of the players who rank in the top 10 of these two categories have already been inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Currently a member of the Washington Redskins, Peterson will have to wait until after his time in the NFL ends before he is able to get a bronze bust in Canton. Recently though, the former Vikings running back was inducted into another football-related Hall of Fame.

On Saturday, Peterson was a part of the 2019 class of individuals who were inducted into the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame.

The former Minnesota running back spent his high school football days in Palestine, Texas. While he was there, Peterson ultimately developed into the No. 1 recruit in the entire nation.

As a senior at Palestine High School in 2003, he racked up an impressive total of 2,960 rushing yards and 32 touchdowns. Just a bit more than the 2,051 rushing yards and 22 touchdowns Peterson had during his junior season.

Following high school, he went on to attend the University of Oklahoma for three years before he ended up getting selected with the No. 7 pick in the 2007 NFL Draft by the Vikings.
