5. Detroit Lions – Win percentage of 65.2%

It’s a little surprising to see a division rival on this list, but the Lions are one of those teams who are either an extremely tough opponent or they appear to lay down in games where they aren’t even competitive.

Entering the 2019 NFL season, the Lions have only beaten the Vikings 39 times out of their 115 matchups. That is an embarrassing number of victories for a team who Minnesota takes on twice a year.

To make the situation even stranger, the Vikings have never played a playoff game against the Lions in NFL history. Plus, they have only finished a game with a tie score twice. Considering how long these two franchises have been in the league, each of those numbers feel like they should be higher.

The Minnesota Vikings are on a three-game winning streak over the Lions, including one contest where they sacked quarterback Matt Stafford a whopping ten times. The question of whether or not Detroit will be more competitive this season is completely up in the air.
