1. Laquon Treadwell – WR

Rookie Stats (2016):

  • 1 catch, 15 yards
  • 0 TDs

Going into the 2016 NFL Draft, Treadwell was regarded by some as the best wide receiver prospect available. So for the Vikings to end up with him at pick No. 23 seemed like a steal at the time.

Minnesota quickly realized that using their 2016 first-round pick on Treadwell wasn’t the greatest idea in the world.

He only appeared in nine games as a rookie due to a variety of injuries. But it didn’t really matter that Treadwell missed time out on the field since he only saw three passes thrown in his direction during the entire season anyway.

This receiver that the Vikings spent their first-round pick on in 2016 managed to finish his first year with the team with just one catch. It’s actually kind of impressive that Treadwell was able to play as poorly as he did during his rookie season.

His tenure with Minnesota since 2016 hasn’t really gone any better. In three years with the Vikings, Treadwell hasn’t even accumulated more than 60 catches, 520 yards, or two touchdowns.

It’s not like Minnesota hasn’t given him the opportunities to succeed either. The Vikings keep putting Treadwell out on the field, but nothing positive has come out of it so far and likely never will.
