1. New York Jets – Win percentage of 27.3%
I bet the Jets weren’t even close to the top of your list when you were thinking of teams the Vikings just can’t seem to beat. Possibly that’s because the green team in New York has struggled in recent history, but that doesn’t mean they weren’t extremely tough in the past.
In 11 total meetings with the Jets, Minnesota has only managed three wins. Up until 2014, the Vikings had only won one of the first nine games played between the two teams. Thankfully, the Vikings won the next two.
Funny enough, the game which got Minnesota the first win of the 21st century came in 2014 when the Vikings needed overtime to put away the Jets on a screen pass from Teddy Bridgewater to Jarius Wright.
The Jets may not be the tough team they used to be, but that doesn’t mean they can’t get there soon. It will take the Minnesota Vikings eight wins in a row to even the score with the Jets…and if that happens it will take a long, long time.
