The Minnesota Vikings will open their first wave of OTAs on Tuesday. But what should fans be looking out for as the team hits the practice field?

For the majority of Minnesota Vikings fans, offseason team activities (aka OTAs) may not mean much. In what is mainly a tease for the average NFL fan, teams line up in shorts and t-shirts to go through the motions as everyone takes their first steps toward preparations for the 2019 season.

To drive the point home that this is a glorified walkthrough, quarterbacks also wear red jerseys so they don’t suffer the same fate as Teddy Bridgewater in May. So honestly, what’s the point?

For the actual team, OTAs might mean more for the Vikings this time around. They’re coming off a season that was well below expectations and they will be looking to pull the odd-even rebound that has become the trend since Mike Zimmer became the head coach in 2014.

Minnesota will also be looking to answer several questions that contributed to their sudden downfall a season ago. There might not be a lot that gets answered in the next couple of days, but it’s the data point to figure out what the Vikings will look like in 2019.

When Minnesota’s players take the field for their OTA practices this week, what are a few things to pay a little extra attention to?
