How will the offensive line be set up?

We might as well kick things off with the biggest talker throughout the Vikings’ offseason. We already know the players that make up Minnesota’s offensive line this year, we’re just not sure what combination the team will actually end up using.

The two spots that are the safest to predict seem to be the tackles as Riley Reiff will likely return as the Vikings’ left tackle while Brian O’Neill will hold it down on the right side. Other than that, there seems to be an intriguing shuffle that will feature four guys fighting for three spots.

Pat Elflein has been starting at center for Minnesota over the past two seasons. But with the addition of first-round pick Garrett Bradbury, it appears Elflein could be shifting to guard to keep the rookie in his natural position where he thrived at North Carolina State.

Which side Elflein lines up at is also in flux as he could line up at the left side with Josh Kline on the right or vice versa. Then there’s the addition of rookie guard Dru Samia, who is lurking in the wings and could take over if either veteran falters.

The offensive line will not be solidified during the first wave of the Vikings’ OTAs. But it will be interesting to see which combinations the team tries out during the first couple of days.
