An early look at the Vikings’ top 2019 training camp battles

The Minnesota Vikings are pretty well set when it comes to their starters on both sides of the football. Their depth at certain positions is where the competition lies.

The Minnesota Vikings approach their upcoming 2019 preseason and training camp with most of their starters figured out.

There could be some competition at a few spots, but for the most part, the Vikings have a pretty good idea what both their offensive and defensive starters will look like heading into the 2019 season. That doesn’t mean there won’t be any intrigue during this year’s training camp though.

There are plenty of spots on Minnesota’s depth chart that are completely up for grabs. The Vikings aren’t overly deep at a lot of positions and guys who made the squad a season ago are by no means sure bets to be on the final 53-man roster once again.

Minnesota brought in a lot of new talent this offseason and they also have some players coming back from injury. Guys who aren’t currently on the top of the depth chart will have to give it their all during every single practice during camp in order to secure a spot on the team.

It will be here before we know it, so let’s take an early look at some of the top positional battles to watch during Vikings training camp this summer.
