Now a member of the Washington Redskins, the former Minnesota Vikings quarterback recently revealed that his wife is expecting a baby boy in November.
After a magical 2017 campaign with the Minnesota Vikings, the 2018 season didn’t turn out to be as memorable for Case Keenum as the starting quarterback for the Denver Broncos.
The Broncos won just six games with Keenum as their starter last season and the veteran passer only threw for a total of 3,890 yards, 18 touchdowns, and 15 interceptions. He was certainly not as productive as he was in a Vikings uniform in 2017.
Despite Denver declaring numerous times that Keenum was the guy they wanted as their quarterback when they initially signed him, the team quickly shipped him off to the Washington Redskins this year. It’s been a rough past few months for the veteran signal-caller, but now, he at least has something exciting to look forward to later this year.
Recently, Keenum and his wife, Kimberly, announced that they are expecting a baby boy in November. It’s the first child for the couple that has been married since 2011.
2019 is shaping up to be a very monumental year for Keenum. He and his wife are about to become parents and his upcoming season with the Redskins could determine the rest of his career in the NFL.
Keenum is currently competing to be Washington’s starter for 2019 with rookie Dwayne Haskins. Depending on how training camp and the preseason end up turning out this summer, there’s a possibility that the former Minnesota quarterback might not even make the Redskins’ final regular season roster.
A lot has definitely changed in a short amount of time for Keenum. But no matter how the rest of his professional football career turns out, Vikings fans will always be thankful for the joy he provided them in 2017.
