The NFL is full of talented players under 25 years old and NFL.com compiled a team of these individuals which includes one member of the Minnesota Vikings.
In recent history, the Minnesota Vikings have found quite a bit of success in the draft by selecting players who have become essential pieces for the future of the franchise. Many of these players went on to get contract extensions and be honored as Pro Bowl or All-Pro caliber talent.
One of the fun things media organizations like to do when things slow down in NFL coverage is to compile lists and teams. One of the lists NFL.com makes every year is their All-Under-25 Team, which showcases the best young players at each position.
It seems like clockwork that at least one player from the Vikings has been included in this amazing fictitious roster. This year is no different, but the one purple and gold individual among them was quite a bit of a surprise.
It was shocking to see the list have rookie center Garrett Bradbury at center. Despite there being players with more experience available to take that spot on the team’s roster, Sessler sees the potential in Minnesota’s first-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
"“Way I see it, the Vikings already housed Pat Elflein (last year’s center selection by colleague Elliot Harrison), who now moves to guard to make room for the newbie, before they selected Bradbury 18th overall.”"
Meanwhile, the biggest snub of the All-Under-25 Team is defensive end Danielle Hunter. It’s hard to believe the dynamic pass rusher is still under 25 years old but this is the last year Hunter was eligible to be on this team.
It turns out Sessler chose to go with Joey Bosa of the Chargers and Myles Garrett of the Browns to be the pass rushers on the team. Hunter’s 14.5 sacks last season and 40 career quarterback takedowns should have made him a lock for that spot, but the NFL.com writer is entitled to his opinion.
How big was the sub for Danielle Hunter on NFL.com’s All-Under-25 Team? And is the hype train chugging a little too strong for rookie center Garrett Bradbury? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
